College football recruiting: Updated SEC team rankings for 2025 class (2024)

Which teams in the SEC have the early edge in recruiting for the 2025 class?

Cody Nagel

The college football recruiting picture for the 2025 class is starting to take shape after a busy stretch of official visits. As is typically the case, SEC teams hold many of the top national hauls so far with perennial powers Alabama and Georgia battling for the No. 1 spot in the conference race, but several other teams in the league are not far behind.

The recruiting calendar is currently in a dead period for thenext four weeks into late July. However, this is often the busiest time for new commitments after recruits sit down and weigh their options following on-campus visits.

Most of the top prospects in the 2025 class will be committed by the time the early signing period rolls around in December. So, these summer recruiting months are crucial to building a strong haul before the college football season kicks off.
