According to various reports, two young TikTok personalities, Olivia Dunne and Breckie Hill, are not getting along.
Olivia Dunne (@livvy) is an LSU gymnast who achieved All-American on the bars and became famous on social media, even recently being featured in the Sports Illustrated swimsuit issue.
Breckie Hill (@breckiehill) is a social media personality and Instagram model who also has an OnlyFans account.
Both are extremely popular online, although numbers-wise, Dunne has Hill beat by several million: Dunne has 7.6 million followers on TikTok and 4.2 million on Instagram, while Hill has 2.7 million followers on Tiktok and 1.3 million followers on Instagram. Dunne also boasts the status as the highest-paid female athlete in the NCAA.
The two social media stars have accounts that seem to align in broadcasting their flowing blonde locks, pictures in swimsuits and brand partnerships, but if the Internet is to be believed, the two are anything but closely aligned in their actual lives.
Why are Olivia Dunne and Breckie Hill fighting?
The tension between Dunne and Hill appears to have originated by some on social media comparing Hill to Dunne, claiming Hill physically resembles Dunne, and that’s part of why she became so popular.
“Ya’ll are basically twins ahaaa,” commented @ayden_dawg on one of Hill’s TikToks.
According to Essentially Sports, the official feud between the two TikTokers began in April 2023 when Hill called Dunne a “b****” in a video posted by The Tea Talk Instagram account.
The video shows YouTuber Lofe bumping into Hill at a store and casually chatting with her about Dunne while drinking Prime Hydration bottles.
Hill explains that she’s heard that “every single person who has met” Dunne has said she is “so mean in person” and then proceeded to accuse Dunne’s followers of “bullying” her, calling Hill a “dupe” of Dunne.
Hill added that she also felt Dunne had “body-shamed” her and ended the interaction by saying that if Dunne happened to be there in person with her, she would “slap” her.
The video is also captioned with the description that “Breckie stated that she had beef with Olivia despite Olivia never acknowledging Breckie’s existence.”
The Instagram video commenters seemed as divided as the two TikTok stars, with some arguing that Hill is not on the same level of fame as Dunne and others noting that they believe Dunne should ensure that her fans are not bullying Hill — and address the danger of body shaming in any capacity.
“livvy is a millionaire, division 1 college athlete, and one of the most famous influencers on tiktok. this girl is embarrassing herself beyond words rn. just take your clout and cherish it before it disappears for good because at least livvy has things going for her outside of making videos lol,” stated @madelineberhardt.
“It’s not Breckie fault at all, I think that livvy should tell fans to stop comparing both of their bodies because it deada** weird that fans are doing that,” argued @bri.zandia.
Hill also appeared to directly pull Dunne further into the controversy by appearing in a video in which Hill described herself as a “D1 gymnast” who goes to LSU and drives a Lamborghini. The video even had the phrase “Go Tigers!” at the end, appearing to reference Dunne’s status as an LSU Tiger.
Dunne’s response
Hill also took the “feud” to TikTok, posting a video labeled “proof my rizz is always better than livvy’s”:
Fans and commenters were dividing after the video, some tagging Dunne in the comment section, some claiming Livvy has more rizz and still others seemingly bewildered as what appears to be a primarily one-sided feud.
“The most one sided beef in history,” noted @jenna.geibel5.
“Livvy vs Beckie celebrity boxing match,” suggested @justtheaveragebengalsfan.
“Leave livvy alone bro,” added @windexx43.
And although there hasn’t been a lot of commentary on Dunne’s side, it does appear the gymnast has finally addressed the controversy.
Only one day after Hill’s TikTok, Dunne posted a TikTok with a slide that said how “she can’t keep my name out of her mouth,” which many took to be a reference to Hill.
“I just laugh for you,” Dunne captioned the video.
“Uh oh we all know who,” wrote @evanswayne6.
“This is the best response in TikTok history,” said @jake_evans13 on the video.
