If the case was filed in New York, it must be filed with the local County clerk. Thus, for example, if your case was filed in Brooklyn, you would search the records of the Kings County Clerk's office to obtain copies of any filed papers.

Q: How do I make a Bronx County judgement good in NJ to sue a Bergen county resident?How do I do this.

You take a certified copy of the New York judgment to the Clerk in Trenton. New Jersey judgments are docketed on a statewide docket, not county by county. There is a small fee on both sides.

New York rules are very strict, the judge may go with an affidavit from you stating everything you did. Try talking to the clerks they are helpful in this regard.

I would suggest getting an attorney to deal with this, we have a similar issue right now in Kings County Surrogate court...

Generally it doesn't mean anything. It means no specific judge has been assigned to the case. Whether one will be in the future depends on the case posture. You should still attend any pending court appearance and meet any pending deadline such as for a motion.
