Elden Ring is known for its NPC questlines that stretch the main story into different dimensions, and the Shadow Of The Erdtree DLC is no different. As you progress in the Realm of Shadow, you meet many NPCs with each of them having their own goals and reasons. One of these NPCs is Thiollier, a Tarnished who’s obsessed with poison and St. Trina.

One of the coolest things about Thiollier’s questline in Elden Ring’s DLC is you’ll experience his growth as you progress his story. Thiollier eventually proves himself to be a valuable ally against some of the hardest endgame enemies.

Thiollier Full Quest Walkthrough In Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree

To start Thiollier’s questline, there are multiple steps to take in Elden Ring Shadow Of The Erdtree. First, travel south to Cerulean Coast and find the Fissure Site of Lost Grace, located in a pit where you have to keep descending to reach it.

After that, trigger the Somewhere a Great Rune Has Broken message in Elden Ring to progress the main story quest. This will open the Stone Coffin Fissure cave located south of the Cerulean Coast, which you previously activated the Grace next to it. It’s also worth noting that you can do both steps in any order.

Explore the cave, reach its boss, and defeat it to find St. Trina. When getting close to her, you only get an option to imbibe nectar. Do that and it will kill your character immediately. Once you respawn, repeat the process four or five times, until you start hearing her voice. Keep imbibing her nectar until she says you must kill Miquella. Grant him forgiveness.

After completing these steps, you can now visit the Pillar Path Cross Site of Lost Grace, located east of the Gravesite Plain region. There, you’ll find Thiollier where he’ll mention that he’ll sacrifice everything just to gaze upon her one last time. Choose to tell him St. Trina’s Whereabouts and Thiollier will set his mind to venture into the depths of the Fissure.

You can now teleport to the Garden of Deep Purple Site of Lost Grace and visit St. Trina again to find Thiollier next to her, begging to hear her voice. Speak with him, and he’ll warn you not to imbibe her nectar as it would plunge you into an eternal slumber, stating it must be him and only him.

Here, you can choose to pass on St. Trina’s words to Thiollier, and he’ll refuse to believe it with an annoyed voice, threatening he won’t be held responsible for his actions if you lie to him again. You can try to pass on St. Trina’s words again, and that will make Thiollier invade you when you rest at the Site of Lost Grace outside. Defeat him and you’ll get St. Trina’s Smile Talisman in Elden Ring.

After winning against Thiollier, you can revisit St. Trina to find him there. Trigger a conversation with him where he’ll beg you to tell the truth, which you’ll pass on St. Trina’s words again, and he’ll refuse them again. However, this time Thiollier will speak in less of an angry tone, and more of a regretful one. Eventually, Thiollier will come around and help you in the DLC endgame. The first time you find him is before fighting Leda and her allies.

Immediately after that, Thiollier will help you against the final Boss in Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree. After winning the final battle, you can revisit the area and find Thiollier’s body with his outfit and weapon.
